Join the School of the Valley Dance Theatre!

The School of the Valley Dance Theatre supports dance in the Tri-Valley with studio classes for ages 2.5 to adult, taught by experienced instructors.
​
The students at the School are invited to to audition for the Company's mainstage productions. Our students also perform in an annual Showcase for families and friends rather than recitals or competitions.

The Children's Division offers classes in Ballet, Modern Dance and Movement for girls and boys ages 2-12

The Upper Division offers classes in Classical Ballet (pointe & non-pointe), Partnering, Men’s Ballet, and Modern Dance.
Performances
​
Every spring, concurrent with the Company’s production of Spring Rep, the School of the Valley Dance Theatre holds a school demonstration for Creative Movement through Ballet IV classes. The demonstration is not a recital, but an opportunity for each level in the school to showcase specific techniques they are learning through short, choreographed pieces designed for their level. Ballet skirts are provided for girls with students supplying their own basic ballet attire. The demonstration also gives these younger students an opportunity to work together as a group and get practice at performing on a stage.
